One of Monopoly's iconic game tokens is going to be replaced, and gamemaker Hasbro wants you to decide which one it will be. Votes can be made through February 5th on Monopoly's Facebook page, with all of the tokens up for possible
banishment -- the car, thimble, boot, Scottie dog, battleship, hat, iron and wheelbarrow. Ballots are cast for which piece the voter wants to save. As of last night (January 9th), the wheelbarrow was in the most trouble, with only three percent of the "save" votes, followed by the iron and the boot, which were tied at six percent. The Scottie dog was in the lead with 33 percent of the "save" vote, followed by the car with 15 percent. Also up to voters is which new piece will replace the one that's dumped, from the choices of a helicopter, diamond ring, robot, cat and guitar. The new Monopoly with the updated game pieces will hit stores later this year. This isn't the first time Hasbro has changed the classic Monopoly tokens. Three of the game's original ones, a purse, lantern and rocking horse, were replaced in the 1950s by the Scottie dog, wheelbarrow and a man on horseback.
