Scientists In Taiwan say the illegal drug methamphetamine, also known as crystal meth, may have flu-fighting properties.  To figure this out, researchers exposed cells found in the lining of human lungs to various amounts of methamphetamine, and then exposed them to a strand of the influenza virus.  After about two-days researchers found that the meth-exposed cells had fewer influenza viruses left alive than the control group of cells that were not exposed to meth.  Doctors do not recommend taking the drug, but say they hope this research will lead to treatments or a cure for influenza in the future.
